The reasons are not known with certainty: perhaps legal aspects prevented the sale, perhaps the automotive giant did not dare to sell “used” electric vehicles, given that even the request for the new iQ5 was negligible. Due to poor sales, the iQ5 was discontinued in China in 2020.
