In Chartres, the bar Les Voisins, victim of a fire, should reopen before the summer

“According to the client, the work should last three months, then we should be able to welcome customers at the beginning of June”, assures Maxime Boisset, the manager of the bar.

Before reinstalling the tables and serving the drinks, there is still a long way to go! The rooms, walls and ceilings have been washed to remove soot, blackness and smoke odours. Ceilings and walls were demolished. Next step: rebuild and launch the new layout of the premises.

A new decoration

All the furniture was destroyed during the fire, so this is an opportunity to review the decoration. “The regulars will find the atmosphere of the bar they knew, but we will add improvements. We were already thinking of adding floral touches, they would have been added gradually, there, we will be able to modify everything in one go, ”explains the manager.

Work began this month of February 2022. The management explains that since the fire of July 2021, it has not remained inactive. The insurance experts of the owners of the buildings affected by the fire had to coordinate to meet on the same dates.

A police investigation was able to determine that the fire had started at the level of the electrical panel.
