In Chartres, hospital workers go on strike: “it’s cracking everywhere”

“It cracks everywhere”, here is the slogan chanted by the CGT des Hôpitaux de Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), at the dawn of a day of demonstration, Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. in front of the Hôtel Dieu. The crisis in the health, social and medico-social sector seen on a national scale since the start of the pandemic is also being felt in Chartres.

In addition to the social movement, the CGT calls for a strike from Monday June 6, 2022 at 6 p.m. to Wednesday June 8, 2022 at 8 a.m. and concerns all health professions.

Union demands

The professionals of the health sector have targeted several points for which to mobilize: the recruitment additional staff immediately, the general upgrading salaries, the significant reinforcement of the means available for the establishments and the cessation of all closing establishments or beds.

The union specifies that its demands have been “unchanged for three years”.
