A gendarme puts an end to a beating, the facts are reported by the Gendarmerie of Eure-et-Loir on his page Facebook. And they are uplifting.
Wednesday 25 November 2020 at Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), a little after midi, an off-duty Eurelian gendarme notes a crowd of young people opposite 35, rue de Châteaudun.
The gendarme is alerted by howls
His attention is drawn to howls.
Very quickly he realizes that a person is on the ground and is literally lynch by a group of one twenty individuals who punches and kicks him.
The soldier who is in civilian clothes decides to intervene alone despite the balance of power.
He takes out his armband
He then takes out his Gendarmerie armband.
After yelling “National Gendarmerie” the group ended up dispersing very quickly.
The gendarme immediately wears assistance to the young boy injured and curled up on the ground, declines his function, reassures him and lavishes first aid on him.
“Several witnesses of the scene spontaneously presented themselves to the gendarme who called police help. Alerted the police and firefighters arrive quickly and take care of the 14-year-old boy ” relates the Gendarmerie.
Arrived on the scene, the mother of the victim then warmly thanked the action of the police.
