In Center-Val-de-Loire too, farmers do it the other way around

In several municipalities in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region, urban entrance signs are found upside down: members of the FNSEA have been there.

Environmental standards? “Not too much need !” respond in heart the members of the powerful FNSEA in Center-Val-de-Loire: as their colleagues in the south of France had done before them, they have worked hard, in recent days – or sometimes in recent nights, out of concern of discretion- to unscrew and turn over town entrance signs almost everywhere in the territory. In Perche, Nogent-le-Rotrou, for example, paid the price for this action, which was more fanciful than disturbing.

The panels were returned to Azé as well as Danzé

“We walk on the head !” estimates the FNSEA

So what is the message? It’s about protesting against what they call “surtransposition” European standards: in short, more drastic obligations in France than they are among certain neighbors of the union. Ultimately, production costs are increased in our countryside, faced with food imports from abroad which do not meet such strict specifications: We walk on the head ! estimates the regional branch of the agricultural union.
