Shaun Meyer recently released the first episode of the Resident Evil fan web series, Carrier: A Raccoon City Story.
Resident Evil and film noir – do they go together? If you ask me, yes. But you can see for yourself, because Shaun Meyer published the pilot episode of his Resident Evil fan web series “Carrier: A Raccoon City Story” and it’s quite successful.
Set in 1995, the two-part webseries centers on “hard-nosed, boozing, cynical” detective Sam Othic, who works for the Raccoon City Police Department. Sam investigates a range of domestic terrorist activities that border on cult-like behavior. Locals report growing numbers of vagrants and vagrants flocking to a remote homestead on private property at the foot of the Arklay Mountains.
For this it says: “The truth will propel and drag Detective Othic through many twists and turns eventually leading to the outbreak of Raccoon City T-Virus in September 1998.”
Incidentally, the project was inspired by Max Payne and Sin City, among others.
