Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, is invited to the “Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs the World” season which airs November 18
TELEVISION – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will make an appearance on the TV show Endurance racetelecommunications giant Bell announced on Tuesday, November 8. The Canadian show is one of dozens of versions of the American television contest RuPaul’s Endurance Racewhich has become a cult.
“The Prime Minister’s visit marks the first appearance of a world leader in a Drag Race show”Bell said in a statement. In the episode, Justin Trudeau talks to drag queens “of the inclusion that Canada promotes”Ama Schere, spokesperson for the show, told AFP.
In RuPaul’s Endurance Racenine drag queens, some of them from abroad, compete every week in events aimed at testing their drag skills, under the critical gaze of the judges.
According to an excerpt from the show, Justin Trudeau arrives as a surprise guest, obviously causing a strong reaction from the audience. The short sequence can be seen in the video below, starting at 0’40:
The first of six episodes of this season of Drag Race Canada will be available on November 18th. It is not yet known what time of the season the passage of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will air.
What to give ideas to the French producers of the show? After a successful first season this summer on France.tv Slash and France 2 which saw the coronation of Queen Paloma, France Television has already confirmed the conduct of a season 2 whose casting is underway. No other information has been disclosed on this 2nd season, neither on the jury, nor on the air date.
