In Burtnieki municipality, on Saturday evening, the car drove 20 sheep, LETA confirmed to the State Police.
The accident took place around 20.30 in Rencēni parish on the highway Valmiera-Rūjiena, when the car “BMW” ran into sheep, which crossed the carriageway.
The car was damaged and 20 sheep were killed in the accident.
The police continue to explain the circumstances of what happened.
