A thousand workers in Britain will take part in the first experiment for the ruling Labor Party to reduce the working week in the kingdom to four days.
This information is provided by The Guardian.
“1,000 UK workers will get extra days off without loss of pay in the first official campaign experiment with a four-day week under a Labor government.”– indicated in the publication.
It is specified that the results of the experiment should be presented to the Labor Cabinet next summer.
According to the publication, 17 enterprises will take part in the experiment, and 4 more will join it later. A number of companies have decided to test a schedule in which employees will be given an additional day off every 2 weeks.
As newspaper observers point out, it may be difficult to convince the Labor cabinet of ministers of the need to introduce a four-day week, since such a measure was not initially included in the authorities’ plans.
At the end of last month, it was reported that three-quarters of Russians (75%) positively perceive the idea of introducing a four-day working week in the Russian Federation. According to the citizens surveyed, this will make the lives of workers less stressful and reduce the likelihood of burnout.
Last week it became known about the results of the introduction of a four-day working week in Iceland. According to The Autonomy Institute, this measure had a positive impact on the labor market. In addition, after the innovation, the country’s economy began to grow at a faster pace.
