In Brazil, a fisherman escaped a swarm of bees, but fell victim to piranhas

Trying to escape from the bees, the man jumped into the lake, but he was attacked by piranhas.

Last Saturday in the Brazilian Landia de Minas, three friends went to the lake to fish, but not all returned home. About this case writes Brazilian Mail.

These people were fishing in a local lake when their boat crashed into logs. The blow disturbed the bee hive, and, trying to escape, the fishermen threw themselves into the water. Two of them were able to reach the coast, and the third was killed by piranhas.

Firefighters found the body of a 30-year-old victim, according to them, the face and other parts of the man’s body were mutilated.

Two other victims are in the hospital. One of the survivors said he was trying to help and save a comrade, although he is allergic to bee stings.

Now local authorities are investigating and trying to find out whether the man drowned himself or because he could not escape from the piranhas.

On the territory of South America, in the Amazon basin, there are many species of these predatory fish with sharp teeth, they hunt for prey in schools.

It is believed that piranhas rarely attack humans, but these attacks can be deadly. There are cases when the limbs of the victims were literally gnawed these fish.

Previously, the focus reported that young white sharks do not distinguish a person from a seal. For them, the swimmer and the surfer on the board are like a seal. Researchers from Australia tested the hypothesis that sharks can mistake a person for an animal… Scientists compared videos of a specially created visual system and analyzed how young sharks see their usual prey and people swimming in the sea.
