This week the application of anti-Covid-19 vaccines will be intensified in Baja California where there are thousands of doses about to expire.
The state Secretary of Health, J. Adrián Medina Amarillas, reported that they will apply second reinforcements for health personnel, firefighters and police officers.
This will be available starting this Thursday, and those who received their first reinforcement four months ago will be able to access it, reported Amarillas.
This was taken as an “extreme security” measure, since being from the first line of care, they have a higher risk of contracting the virus, explained the health minister.
At the same time, they will continue to be applied to all those over 18 years of age, first, second and booster doses.
Medina Amarillas said that there is the amount of vaccines necessary for everyone, “there will be no restrictions (on vaccination)”.

Intensive vaccination against Covid-19 will continue until Saturday, April 30, and will be applied in all hospitals and health centers in the state.
“No vaccine will expire in Baja California, and if it expires, we will never apply it to people,” assured the Secretary of Health.
Also starting this Thursday, April 28, 12-year-old children without comorbidities will be able to register to receive the anti-Covid-19 vaccine, and this will be done on the national platform. https://mivacuna.salud.gob.mx/.

The secretary mentioned that there is still no date to start immunizing this age group in the state.
He reported that there is a batch of Pfizer biological vaccines intended for children under 12 years of age, and that as they are used, the federal government will send more doses.
Until a week ago, four million 674 thousand doses of vaccines against Covid-19 had been applied and two million Baja Californians already had their complete vaccination schedule.
