Snowfall was effective in Afyonkarahisar in the Aegean Region. While the roads were covered with snow due to heavy snowfall, there were disruptions in traffic. There were also traffic accidents with material damage on the slippery roads.
In the Şuhut district of Afyonkarahisar, the hail suddenly showed its effect. After the rain, images reminiscent of snow accumulations appeared at many points.
On the Şuhut-Afyonkarahisar highway, a lot of material damage occurred due to the hail. While some drivers had difficulty in progressing on the road due to accidents and precipitation, many parked their vehicles on the side of the road and waited for the rain to subside.
Traffic on the road returned to normal after the hailstorm stopped for about 20 minutes and the accident vehicles were withdrawn to safe areas.
