The hours of ordinary layoffs authorized in April – explained INPS – there were 713 million while a year earlier, in April 2019, it had been 7.4 million, therefore just over a cent. Among the sectors most involved are industry with 605.2 million hours authorized (against 5.7 million in April 2019) but also construction (107.8 million hours compared to 1.8 million in April 2019). Furthermore, the hours authorized in April 2020 are also enormous compared to what was recorded in the previous month, where 12.7 million hours were authorized. The “extraordinary” number of layoffs authorized in April 2020 was 12.4 million, of which 2.3 million for solidarity, recording a decrease of 30.3% compared to the same month of the previous year. , which recorded 17.9 million hours authorized.
