The mayor of Angers, Christophe Béchu, took the decision with the organizers of Accroche-Cœurs and Tout Angers Bouge to cancel these two highlights of the cultural and sporting life of Angevin. In a few days, the city will present a summer program to support culture.

“The announcements made by the Head of State confirm the impossibility of maintaining in the state two events particularly awaited by the Angevins”. Christophe Béchu, the mayor of Angers had to resolve with the organizers of Accroche-Cœurs and Tout Angers Bouge to give up the organization of these two highlights in the life of the inhabitants of the town.
“The sports village, as imagined in a covid-compatible version, is not possible” indicates the town hall. The Accroche-Cœurs also have to give up for the second year in a row. The street arts festival attracts several hundred thousand spectators every year. “The decision was taken with Jacques Humbert, its organizer “, specifies the town hall.
The two events are already registered in the program of events for the year 2022. The city of Angers adds in conclusion of this decision, “very attached to the cultural life and to the support of the artists, we will present in ten days, an ambitious festival program, so that the summer is cultural”.
