Düsseldorf In a serious accident on the A46 in Düsseldorf-Wersten, a vehicle overturned on Tuesday evening and got stuck on the roof. Two people were injured.

A white Audi rolled over in an accident on Tuesday evening on the A46 just before the Wersten tunnel and then got stuck on the roof. A total of three vehicles were involved in the accident.

As a police spokesman said, the Audi driver hit a Toyota. As a result, the car skidded, overturned on its side as a result of the impact, then slid further on the roadway and ultimately remained on the roof. A subsequent Mercedes drove over debris and was also damaged. Since the 35-year-old Audi driver’s first breath alcohol test was positive, two blood samples were taken.

The driver of the Audi and the 23-year-old passenger from the Toyota were slightly injured and had to be taken to hospital after treatment by the emergency doctor at the accident site. The police spokesman estimated the property damage to be around 30,000 euros.

The A46 in the direction of Wuppertal was temporarily closed. The police have started investigations into the cause of the accident.
