According to Édison Pulistar, director of Health of the Ambato district, so far 105,065 doses have been applied in the canton, which represents 80.9% coverage on average for the entire population.

He said that in this sense, even the number of patients attending health centers with respiratory conditions has decreased by around 50% in recent weeks, which is positive because it means that the epidemiological situation is being controlled in the Ambato canton. , stating that the majority of cases that occurred were in children and older adults.

He recommended maintaining biosecurity measures, that those with respiratory symptoms make proper use of the mask, avoid crowded places as much as possible so as not to get infected, although he assured that the situation is stable. The campaign ends on February 27.
