Since Elon Musk took over the social networking site, some exiled people have gotten their Twitter accounts back. An overview.
By far the most famous person allowed to return is a former American president Donald Trump. His personal @realDonaldTrump account was banned on January 9, 2021 after his role in the storming of the Capitol three days earlier. Accounts related to the office of President of the United States and the White House were maintained.
Trump’s account was closed due to messages that Twitter saw as glorifying violence. He also questioned the reliability of the presidential election won by Joe Biden.
Owner Elon Musk asked users about a possible return of Trump via a Twitter poll. Just over half of the fifteen million votes were in favor. Even before the vote was over, Trump announced that he didn’t intend to tweet again. He prefer their own social network ‘Social truth’.

Kanye West
In October, rapper Kanye West, now calling himself “Ye,” shut down his account after an anti-Semitic tweet. He also posted an anti-Semitic message on Instagram. Since Sunday evening may Ye tweet again, and he did so with the Hebrew greeting ‘Shalom’.
Jordan Peterson
Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson, who was affiliated with the University of Toronto until his retirement a year ago, had to leave Twitter in June after a tweet about the trans man and actor Elliot Page. Peterson had called Page by her ‘dead name’ and had also written: ‘Remember when ‘pride’ was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breast removed by a criminal doctor.’
Through popular “rule of life” books, social media solicitations, and lectures, Peterson has become a highly influential Conservative. He opposes political correctness and believes there is a “crisis of masculinity” underway.
Three days ago he regained access to his account, which he celebrated with a post from The brilliantcharacter Jack, sticking his head through a broken door.

Former professional kickboxer Andrew Tate has built an influence in the English-speaking online world through outright sexist posts and videos, including on Twitter. In 2017, he was banned from Twitter after posting that women “bear a certain responsibility when they’re being attacked.” He also compared women to property and detailed how he would attack a woman. After being featured on the social networking site again through new accounts, those too were shut down last year. The ban was lifted on November 18.
The Bee of Babylon
Another controversial account that has been admitted since Nov. 18 belongs to the conservative satirical website The Bee of Babylon. That account was shut down in March after trans woman Rachel Levine was presented as “Man of the Year.”
Kathy Griffin
Unlike the others on this list, American comedian Kathy Griffin has been banned from Twitter following the Musk takeover. She snapped her profile picture and demanded that midterm Americans vote “blue” (aka Democrat).
