To boot Magical The Group is the last company to have made layoffs. The company will also cut management salaries and the founders will not receive a salary.
“In addition to this move, management salaries will be voluntarily reduced and founders will not receive a salary,” Magic management wrote in a written statement on Tuesday (11/29/2022).
The firm guarantees that these steps will not affect the performance and services of the firm to Ajaib’s clients.
“Going forward, Ajaib has also prepared a strong corporate strategy to continue realizing financial inclusion in Indonesia,” the statement continued.
As for layoffs, however, the instability of global economic conditions was the cause of the layoff of 67 employees. Furthermore, the layoffs were made as part of the company’s strategy to continue to adapt so that Ajaib can develop sustainably.
“To ensure the company’s readiness to face uncertain macroeconomic conditions, we were forced to downsize employees which affected 67 employees,” the company wrote.
For the affected employees, Ajaib will provide compensation in accordance with the laws and regulations, accompanied by a variety of additional compensation.
“Affected employees will receive compensation in accordance with the law, as well as an additional one-month severance pay for each year of service,” he continued.
Not only that, for the next 6 months there will also be protection in the form of health insurance for employees and their families. Employees are also facilitated with job search advice and support.
“Over the past three years, Ajaib has increased Indonesia’s financial inclusion through digital financial services. This positive impact and development Magical as a company it cannot be separated from the dedication and hard work of each of our teams,” the management statement concluded.
