In addition to CEZ, E.ON will also become more expensive next year

E.ON must also respond to rising purchase prices. “However, we can assure our clients that the current high prices on stock exchanges will be reflected in their price lists only partially and only next year, and the effects of current developments will certainly not affect them in full,” said E.ON spokesman Roman Šperňák.

According to Šperňák, the price per megawatt-hour of electricity with delivery for next year has risen almost 2.5 times this year, and even three times for gas. “Thanks to our responsible approach to the purchase of electricity, where we buy continuously and in advance, we have not yet had to project this price increase into consumer prices, unlike many other suppliers,” said Šperňák. It is not clear exactly how much the company will increase from January.

Nano Energies, which was established 14 years ago as the first supplier of electricity from renewable sources in the Czech Republic, will also become more expensive. From the New Year, the most common rate for household D02d will cost CZK 3,390 without VAT per 1 MWh. From 1 November, newly arrived clients can conclude contracts with Nano Energies for the Electricity Nazeleno 2022 tariff. For existing customers, the same price will apply from the New Year.

“If the capacity is exhausted in the coming weeks, we will not connect new clients until the new year. Unlike other suppliers, we do not take risks, we have a supply firmly secured directly from the source. We do not want to compete on price, but on the authenticity and quality of our green electricity, ”said Stanislav Chvála, the company’s director.

PRE will no longer become more expensive

On the other hand, the increase in prices with the arrival of the New Year is not in the plans of Prague Energy (PRE). The last price increase took place on the first of September this year, the increase was by seven percent, which amounts to CZK 70 per month for a regular Prague family. The price changed after two years.

“We continue to hold these awards and maintain them until the end of this year. We will not change them from 1 January 2022, however, we are monitoring the market situation, the development of the price of electricity on the stock exchange very closely, and if necessary, we will react, “said PRE spokesman Petr Holubec.

The largest gas supplier in the Czech Republic, innogy Energie, has previously announced that it will increase gas prices from November 20, with the basic product Standard being on average 10.6 percent. Electricity prices have not risen yet.
