In addition to announcing the Phone 2a Plus, the manufacturer is already talking about the highly anticipated Nothing Phone 3

Nothing has just launched a brand new smartphone, called Phone (2a) Plus, but is already preparing for the sequel by announcing in advance the release date of its next flagship model.

Earlier this year, we tested the Nothing Phone (2a), the most affordable smartphone from the British manufacturer to date. Carl Pei’s brand has finally unveiled a slightly modified version of this smartphone, called the Phone (2a) Plus.

Contrary to what its name suggests, this is not a larger version of the original model. Rather, it is the same device, but with a slightly improved technical sheet. In total, there are five major changes: the processor, the camera, the design, the fast charging and the price.

What are the technical specifications for the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus?

The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus takes over much of the spec sheet from the Nothing Phone (2a), but this time comes with a new processor, le MediaTek Dimensity 7350. The latter would promise to be around 10% faster than the Dimensity 7200, and up to 30% for the graphics part.

Nothing has also taken advantage of this new model to improve the photo part. The 50 MP and 50 MP rear sensors are unchanged, but the device benefits froma new 50 MP selfie sensor, the Samsung JN1. This is usually a sensor reserved for the back of smartphones, so it promises to take good selfies compared to the competition.

Let us also mention wired fast charging, which goes to 50W compared to 45W previously, and an all-silver design that you will either love or hate. Otherwise, we still find a 6.7-inch 120 Hz AMOLED screen, and a 5000 mAh battery. Because of these few changes, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is marketed at $50 more than its predecessor, or $399. But its French price is not yet known.

While Nothing has only just launched, the brand has already hinted at what’s in store for next year. The company’s next smartphone is expected to be the Nothing Phone (3), and now we have confirmation that this will indeed arrive in 2025.
