In a temporary hospital in Shanghai, doctoral doctors teach children their duties individually

On April 11, in the W2 temporary hospital, housed in the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center, the medical team from central China’s Hubei province trained a team of “medical doctoral tutors” to provide offline homework help for school-aged children after work.

Zhou Ying, Dong Shuilin and Jiang Ling, members of the medical team of Tongji Hospital affiliated with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, came to the C1 and C2 areas in charge after finishing their work and asked each child questions about their online lessons for the day, and guided their homework individually. These doctors helped to underline the points of knowledge and to correct the homework completed by the children.

According to official information, the W2 cabin has 1,320 beds and has been jointly supported by medical teams from 19 hospitals in central China’s Hubei Province led by Tongji Hospital since the afternoon of April 6. Currently, there are 347 children in the cabin, most of them school-aged. Taking advantage of many masters and doctorates among the team, the medical team of Tongji Hospital formed a team of “Medical Doctorate Tutors”. After work, doctors give homework advice to school-age children, supplementing their knowledge with lessons in painting, calligraphy and other activities to enrich the children’s free time and create a “school primary of the cabin ‘warm.

In addition to tutoring school-age children in the cabin, these doctoral medical teachers will also offer a series of health lessons to popularize medical knowledge around issues that concern parents in the healthy growth of children, such as child eye protection, oral care, height nutrition, etc.
