Ciamis News, (harapanrakyat.com), – Positive Covid-19 patients in Ciamis Regency, West Java, continue to grow significantly. As of today, Sunday (8/11/2020), 22 people have been confirmed positive for Covid-19 in Ciamis. So that the total number of Covid-19 cases reached 252 people.
Head of Infectious Diseases of the Ciamis Health Service, Dr. Bayu Yudiawan, said that 12 of the 22 people who tested positive for Covid-19 today came from Ciamis District. Meanwhile, 2 people from Baregbeg District, 6 people from Rajadesa District, and 1 person from Panjalu District.

“Two people from Panjalu and Cihaurbeuti were confirmed positive for Covid-19 after the results of the swab at Ciamis Hospital. The six people from Rajadesa are family and there are also neighbors from Covid-19 patients who died, “said Bayu, Sunday (8/11/2020).
Meanwhile, 7 positive patients with Covid-19 from Ciamis District, said Bayu, were close contacts of the conductor who was previously confirmed positive for Covid-19.
“The conductor previously went to the Puskesmas with symptoms of ILI (Influenza Like Illness). Likewise, 2 people from the hospital were confirmed from a medical visit and showed symptoms of ILI, “he said.

ILI or Influenza Illness, according to Bayu, is a complaint such as influenza such as coughs, colds, fever, sore throat, loss of smell, and weakness.

Bayu continued, 2 people positive for Covid-19 from Baregbeg District were close contacts of health workers (Nakes) who were previously positive for Covid-19. Both are the family of the nakes.
