In a cultural center they took up face-to-face music festivals

A group of entrepreneurs held the music festival “We!” with live artists and the public present, at El Patio Cultural (Santa Fe 847). It is the first experience in the city of Corrientes after nine months of restrictions on artistic shows.

They held a digital ticket sale with tables for 4, 6 and 8 people. The space was adapted since July of last year to the authorizations for gastronomic venues, and although little by little they were incorporating visual artists and DJ sets, just this weekend they managed to bring together almost a dozen musicians on a stage: a duo and two groups.

Within the framework of the progressive flexibilisations that occurred last year in social isolation, the Municipality of Corrientes approved the possibility of performing recitals in August, but had to reverse this measure at the request of the provincial administration.

“We had a quota of 100 people, although the patio has a capacity for 500,” producer Nicolás Silva explained to El Litoral. In any case, El Patio continued with its protocol to guarantee the health of visitors while, with spare parts in place, they ensured the social distance required by the authorities.

In July, they were the first cultural center in the region to open in the coronavirus pandemic, and now they raise a possibility in acoustic format to the crisis affecting the artistic sector, which had to be reduced to virtual experiences.

At the same time they created the Association of Independent Cultural Spaces of Corrientes (Aecic), with which they processed the permits.
