Organizations of the Ministry of Forestry built more than 100 km of forestry roads in 2023, reports press service of the Ministry of Forestry.
New roads have appeared in all regions of the country.
“In total, 18 forestry roads with a total length of 100.906 km were put into operation. The Gomel region became the leader in the construction of forestry roads in 2023 – about 28.5 km were commissioned here,” the press service said.
New forestry roads have appeared in the Gantsevichi, Drogichinsky, Ivatsevichi experimental, Disnensky, Lepelsky, Lioznensky, Elsky, Lelchitsky, Oktyabrsky forestry enterprises, Chechersky special forestry enterprise, Ivyevsky, Ostrovetsky experimental, Slonim, Smorgon experimental, Berezinsky, Borisov experimental, Starodorozhsky experimental, Uzdensky and K Ostyukovichi forestry enterprises .
The construction of the facilities was financed through allocations of part of the funds received from the sale of timber and funds from the republican budget.
In 2024, organizations of the Ministry of Forestry plan to build 17 new forestry roads.
