Rayden, 37 years oldhas announced this Thursday that will leave music “forever” after twenty years of career. “There comes a day when you know. A voice within you says that the work is complete. That you already got it. That you have already left your mark. That already… ”, he has shared in a statement on his networks in which he has also announced the dates of what will be his farewell tour.

This last tour will begin on April 21 in Huesca, coinciding with the launch of his new and latest album; and will culminate in Barcelona on March 1, 2024.
“It’s hard to listen to that voice when the rest of the world tells you that you’re living ‘your prime.’ When you have the best possible band. When you have a loyal audience, which fills and sells out more and more venues. And, even less, when there is less than a month left for you to listen to one of the albums that I am most proud of, ”he added. The album, titled ‘The victory’ impossible will feature 14 songs that will include collaborations with artists such as Dani Fernández, Beatriz Fernández, Travis Birds, Álvaro de Luna and Tarque.

Say goodbye to music
“I leave music, at least, from this side. (From now on I will embrace her in a different way while I write my novels)”. Thus, the artist has shown that he will continue the path started with his debut in this format The Approach to the Cactus Woman and The Balloon Man, which he published at the beginning of the year. A very tender book that works as a song to the poles that do not know how to manage that they are attracted. Previously, he had already released several collections of poems such as ‘Herido diario’ (2015), ‘The world is a cat playing with Australia’ (2019) and ‘Amoratado’ (2022); along with seven studio albums.
“I say goodbye to records, songs and stages forever, but grateful for life”, he assured, “I say goodbye to the world that has given me so much, but not before doing a farewell tour so that it is impossible to forget about this dream and to leave the songs in the best hands: yours ”. Rayden has influenced his words in pointing out the difficulty that making the decision has caused him because of the point in which he is in his career. “Maybe the impossible victory is about this. Knowing how to win and claim victory ”, he reflected.
Two decades on the stage
David Martinez Alvarezknown as Rayden, was born in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) in 1985. The singer he was champion of the ‘Red Bull Battle of the Roosters in 2006’, an event in which he stopped participating in 2009 after reaching his semifinal. In 2020 his first LP ‘Estaba escrito’ arrived, followed by ‘Mosaico’ in 2012 and ‘En alma y hueso’ in 2014; volume that rose to seventh place on sales lists in Spain.
His first album with Warner Music was published in 2017, ‘Antónimo’, which was followed by ‘Sinónimo’ (2019) and ‘Homónimo’ (2021). In his career he has collaborated with artists such as Bely Basarte, Pablo López, Leiva, Rozalén, Sidecars, Iván Ferreiro, Andrés Suárez and Fran Perea.

His time at Benidorm Fest
In 2022 he applied to represent Spain in Eurovision con ‘The Street of the Crying’. The song was selected to participate in the first Benidorm Fest, which Chanel ended up winning. His proposal occupied the fourth placebehind the interpreter of ‘SloMo’, Rigoberta Bandini and Tanxuguerias.
Rayden’s concerts in 2023
His announcement does not affect the final tour he has planned for this year, ‘I want to meet again for the last time’. This farewell to the stages will begin on April 21, in Huesca and will end in Madrid, on December 2, 2023. In addition, it will pass through Cáceres, Valencia, Toledo, León, Córdoba, Seville, Málaga or Mahón.
