France Télévision is once again offering its program “Le Monument Préféré des Français”, presented by Stéphane Bern. 42 sites are submitted to the public vote to try to win the distinction. Here is the list.
They are all part of the French heritage. Like every year, France 3 is relaunching its major operation of the “favorite monument of the French”. After the Citadel and the Lion of Belfort in 2020 and Place Stanislas de Nancy in 2021, the public will again be able to choose its new bijou on the occasion of the 39th European Heritage Days.
The votes, open from this Monday, May 9 and until May 27, 11:59 p.m., will identify one representative per region among the 42 monuments selected. Then will open phase 2 of the competition with the 14 finalists who will have the chance to be voted on by the public. A special program for the Heritage Days, scheduled for September, and presented by Stéphane Bern will then crown the winner.
The monuments of Occitania
The Occitanie region will be represented by Saint-Martin-du-Canigou Abbey in the Pyrénées-Orientales, the Padirac Chasm in the Lot and finally the Millau Viaduct in Aveyron.
