BANDUNG, FOKUSJabar.id: Bandung City Health Bureau (Dinkes). recorded that there have been 4,500 cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) from January to date. This number is up from the cases in 2021.
“DHF is high every year, in 2021 there will be 3,000 cases of DHF, in 2022 it will rise to 4,500 there will be an increase in cases,” Bandung Anhar city health bureau chief Hadian said on Wednesday (13/12/ 2022).
Therefore, it invites the public to adopt a healthy lifestyle at home and in their respective environments. As well as following government directives such as 3M, namely drain, bury and hermetically seal water tanks.

Anhar said fogging or fumigation is a chore to overcome if there is a positive case of DHF. Self-prevention before cases arise with 3M.
“Fogging isn’t a prevention effort, but it’s done if there are already positive cases, but if there aren’t any cases enough with 3M,” he said.
Anhar said that currently the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has new techniques in an attempt to deal with DHF. One of them is genetic engineering by implanting Wolbachia bacteria.
“Wolbachia bacteria make mosquitoes sterile,” she said.
