The Local Health Secretariat promotes vaccination intensification day against yellow fever this Friday, June 9 at the 15 vaccination points set up in urban and rural areas from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The application of the yellow fever vaccine is in boys and girls from 18 months and in traveling adults up to 59 years of age, who, if they are going to travel outside the country, are given an international card and if not, they are given the national card.
According to the Ministry of Health, a single application of this vaccine protects against yellow fever for life. This disease is acute viral, hemorrhagic, transmitted by infected mosquitoes. The symptoms are: fever, headaches, jaundice, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting and tiredness.
On this day, all the biologicals that are part of the regular vaccination scheme will be available so that the population can catch up with the vaccines.
