After having stopped due to the onset of the pandemic, preventive medical care related to the fight against breast cancer was resumed in the Carboniferous region, reported José de Jesús Palomo Aceves, in charge of the area at the IMSS clinic 25.
He assured that breast cancer continues to be a problem that usually affects the female population between 40 and 69 years old and if it is detected early it can be cured.
The interviewee pointed out that during the peak of the pandemic there were not adequate conditions to carry out this type of study due to the proximity with the patients during the mammogram.
He said that it was possible to attend at least a group of 120 women for two days and they will continue to recommend women to go to medical units to be treated in a timely manner because he reiterated that cancer is curable if it is detected in time.
He guaranteed that if a woman with any type of carcinoma is detected, she will be treated immediately with a specialist doctor so that the appropriate treatment can be carried out to stop the progression of the disease.
