Chihuahua.- In order to protect Chihuahuans in this winter season, the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Chihuahua is reinforcing the application of the Seasonal Influenza vaccine among the general population in the state of Chihuahua.
For this reason, they are being vaccinated in the Preventive Medicine service of the Family Medicine Units (UMF) from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Priority is being given to girls and boys from four years to 11 months of age, adults over 60 years of age; as well as patients with chronic-degenerative diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, heart conditions, among others.
The above is part of the National Influenza Vaccination Campaign, Seasonal Season 2023-2024, which began last October and will conclude on March 31 of this year.
This was announced by José Antonio Zamudio González, head of the IMSS in Chihuahua, who highlighted that the entity has highly trained personnel to apply the biological and meet the goals set for this occasion.
“We call on the people of Chihuahua to protect themselves and their loved ones this season, when low temperatures are expected in much of the state,” he concluded.
