“IMSS Reactivates Covid Vaccination Campaign in Nuevo León from May 15 to August 31”

The Mexican Social Security Institute (Imss) announced that from May 15 to August 31 will reactivate the vaccination against him covid for reinforce las measurements preventive for the serious pictures from disease that could be presented.

The doses will be applied in the 29 medical units of the Imss Nuevo León, to people over 18 years of age without restriction by municipality of residence, from 08:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m.

The objective of the campaign will be to apply booster doses to people over 18 years of age, in Zone General Hospitals (HGZ), Subzone Hospitals (HGSZ) and Family Medicine Units (UMF) in the following municipalities:

Monterrey: HGZ No. 2 and UMF No. 3, 5, 26, 28, 35, 36, 37, 39 and Hospital Santa Cecilia.

Guadalupe: UMF No. 27, 29, 30, 32 and 68.

apodaca: UMF No. 19, 66 and 71.

San nicolas de los heros: HGZ No. 6 and UMF No. 31.

San Pedro Garza Garcia: UMF No. 7.

Santiago (The Fence): UMF No. 8.

sabinas hidalgo: HGSZ No. 10.

Montemorelos: HGSZ No 11.

Linares: HGSZ No. 12.

Juarez: UMF No. 20.

García: UMF No. 24.

Escobedo: UMF No. 43.

St. Catarina: UMF No. 64.

The biologic that will be applied is Abdalá, which has an efficacy of 92.28% against symptomatic disease, 98.1% in preventing serious illness, and 94.1% in preventing death.

The only contraindications are a severe allergy to components of the vaccine and having covid symptoms.

It is important to consider that the virus is still present in the environment and that vaccines are the best form of protection to avoid serious cases of the disease.
