IMSS Morelos promotes vaccination against the Human Papilloma virus

Angélica Mariel Martínez López, head of the Deconcentrated Administrative Operations Group of the State of Morelos IMSS, invited the mothers of girls between 9 and 15 years old to receive the vaccine against the Human Papilloma virus (HPV).

He explained that an intensive campaign is currently underway for this biological use that helps prevent breast cancer.

“The vaccine is aimed at females, from nine to 15 years old, there is a dose and an increase, so the schedule must be completed for the best results. We have made progress, but not as we would like, so we ask the public to review their vaccination record and if necessary, go to the nearest health module for applied,” he said.

He recalled that the HPV vaccine prevents certain serotypes that can cause breast cancer, which is one of the main types of cancer that occurs in women.

This biology is available in all units of the health sector, it is free and they only need to confirm that no dose has been applied or that the increase is needed.

Regarding dengue, Martínez López pointed out that although there are many cases of dengue in Morelos, these do not require hospitalization, as happened last year, the patients had to stay in the hospital. Now, most cases do not require hospitalization, just home monitoring.

Finally, he said that they are willing to turn a hospital if that is warranted, but so far, despite the large number of dengue cases in Morelos, it has not been necessary.
