IMSS Jalisco held its last Service Recovery Day 2021

GUADALAJARA, Jal., December 19, 2021.- During December 17, 18 and 19, medical units of the three Levels of Care of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Jalisco, will carry out the Fourteenth National Day Recovery of Ordinary Services, the last one in 2021.

The head of the Department of Medical Benefits of the unit, Dr. Adriana Michel Reveles, reported that prevention of chronic pathologies that lead to health complications in the short, medium and long term, continues to be the priority, so in the Medicine Units Family (UMF) consultations are offered for the whole family, as well as timely detections of diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, HIV, hepatitis C, breast cancer and cervical-uterine cancer.

Regarding specialty consultations in the Second Level of Care, that is, Regional General Hospitals (HGR) and Zone Hospitals (HGZ), the official stated that they are provided in various parts of Jalisco, in units No. 06, 07 09, 14, 21, 26, 42, 45, 46, 89, 110 and 180, for those who require care in Infectology, Traumatology, Rehabilitation, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Otolaryngology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Hematology, Psychiatry, Dermatology , Urology, Gastroenterology, Anesthesiology, Hand Surgery, among others.

Michel Reveles explained that surgeries were scheduled for beneficiaries this weekend in hospitals No. 06, 07, 09, 14, 20, 21, 26, 42, 45, 46, 89 and 180, as well as in the Medical Care Unit Ambulatory (UMAA) No. 52, for pathologies associated with Angiology, Urology, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Traumatology and Orthopedics and Onchosurgery.

On the other hand, in the three High Specialty Medical Units (UMAE) or units of the Third Level of Dependency Care, consultations, surgeries and auxiliary studies are carried out.

The UMAE of Pediatrics provides Outpatient Consultation to patients under 16 years of age in the following branches: Allergy and Immunology, Gastroenterology, Genetics, Infectology, Pneumology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Hematology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, Traumatology and Orthopedics , Urology, Surgery, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Nutrition and Dietetics, Plastic Surgery.

In addition, the unit carries out Maxillofacial, Cardiothoracic, Ophthalmology, Traumatology and Orthopedics, Urology, Surgery, Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery interventions. Regarding the auxiliary studies, it performs Hemodynamics, Echocardiograms, Holter, Chemotherapy, Endoscopies, Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonances and Tomographs.

The UMAE of Obstetrics and Gynecology is conducting oncological surgeries and gynecological and obstetric problems such as uterus and bladder prolapse, as well as specialized obstetric ultrasound and Doppler ultrasound.

At the UMAE de Especialidades staff performs highly complex surgeries in various branches, such as General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Traumatology and Orthopedics and Urology. It offers programmed Nuclear Medicine studies, as well as Magnetic Resonances and Tomographs.

It is worth mentioning that during the Thirteenth National Day for the Recovery of Ordinary Services at the national level, 39 transplants were performed: 22 kidney, 14 cornea, one heart, one kidney and one bone marrow; also two thousand 995 surgeries, 20 thousand 825 specialty consultations, 40 thousand 503 of Family Medicine, 760 of Stomatology and thousand 710 of Nutrition; All these activities are part of the “120 days to move IMSS” strategy.
