IMSS Invites Retirees to Access “Your Easy and Secure Loan” Digitally

Retirees under the Social Security Law in force until June 30, 1997 (LSS 1973), may obtain a pension account loan

The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Colima invites pensioners to learn about the digital service “Your Easy and Secure Loan” with which they can access loans from financial institutions with an IMSS agreement.

Through the IMSS internet portal, pensioners will be able to start their loan application through this new digital service, thereby reaffirming the work on digitizing and simplifying the procedures and services offered.

With “Your Easy and Secure Loan”, pensioners under the Social Security Law in force until June 30, 1997 (LSS 1973), may obtain a loan on account of pension as follows: they must enter www.imss.gob.mx/pensionesknow the amount of the loan offered by financial institutions and choose the one that offers the best conditions.

Subsequently, the financial entity chosen by the pensioner will contact him so that he can deliver and sign the documentation. Once the loan is approved, it will be deposited in the same bank account where the pension is received.

Among the most outstanding benefits of the Collaboration Agreement between the IMSS and financial entities on the procedure called “Your Easy and Secure Loan”, are:

Access to credit among older adults, when in some cases for the banking sector they are no longer subject to credit.

Better conditions in the granting (lower Total Annual Cost).

Digitization of the process and fewer visits for the granting.

Administrative and documentary simplification.

·
Greater transparency (before, during and after the granting of the loan).

This service incorporates elements for the automatic validation of the applicant’s personal information and their credit capacity (eliminates the payment report as a requirement). Additionally, it allows the pensioner who has current loans to restructure with the same financial entity or change to another financial entity, to improve the conditions of the current loan.

To access this benefit, you must prove that you are a pensioner under the LSS 1973, that the monthly discount of the loan does not exceed thirty percent of the amount of the monthly pension and that the amount of the pension is not reduced to an amount less than guaranteed pension.
