During April, the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Chiapas will carry out mammograms in the municipalities of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Tapachula, Arriaga and Tonalá in the Mobile Medical Unit for the Detection of Breast Cancer.
The invitation is addressed to beneficiaries between 40 and 69 years of age who have not had a mammogram for two or more years, or who have never had one in their lives.
The Institute recalls that breast cancer is curable if detected early, so it is suggested that women between 40 and 69 years of age undergo this study every two years, to timely detect any alteration, since mammography can identify lesions that are not they are neither seen nor felt and may go unnoticed.
This month, the IMSS Mobile Medical Unit for the Detection of Breast Cancer by Mammography will be located in the Family Medicine Units (UMF) and in the Subzone General Hospital with Family Medicine (HGS/MF) to bring studies closer to their successors.
The dates and municipalities that the Mobile Unit will visit are:
*UMF No. 23, in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, from April 11 to 22.
*The HGS/MF No. 15, in Tonalá, from April 11 to 13.
*The UMF No. 16, in Arriaga, from April 18 to 19.
*UMF No. 01, in Tapachula, from April 20 to 29.
*The UMF No. 25, in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, from April 25 to 29.
