(Belga) Maxime Martin (Aston Martin) from Brussels finished 6th in GTD for the ninth round of the IMSA, the North American endurance championship, on Sunday at the Road America circuit in the United States.
While he remained on two victories and a second place with his Canadian teammate Roman De Angelis, Maxime Martin saw his series of podiums come to an end in this 2:40 race. Starting from 6th place in its class, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 finished the race in the same position, just ahead of the Porsche 911 GT3 R of Jan Heylen and his American team-mate Ryan Hardwick. In the general classification, the race was won in the sprint by the Acura DPi of American Ricky Taylor and Portuguese Filipe Albuquerque. (Belga)
