Research shows that care for women with recurrent cystitis can be improved, in terms of treatment, prevention and antibiotic prophylaxis. The pharmacist can thus relieve the GP practice. Good agreements in the pharmacotherapeutic consultation (FTO) are required for this. Verification of cystitis symptoms requires pharmacists to become proficient in clinical reasoning for urinary tract infections.
