Improvement courses in zouk begin at Lamentin and Fort-de-F

Team Zouk (Jean-Marc Templet – Patrick Andrey) and international choreographer Moïse Rippon open the doors of zouk to the general public. On Saturday May 7, 2022 at the Lamentin sports hall and on Sunday May 8, 2022 at the Aimé Césaire cultural park, the “Master class codi zouk” begins.

The organizers and creators had given themselves two months to set up and build a common thread for each zouk theme. They are now ready for the first of them.

The Guadeloupean Moïse Rippon is the architect of the project. He is one of its great choreographers, who completed their jazz and modern training in the greatest American schools, such as Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham. He knows the ultramarine environment perfectly.
Moïse was also Kassav’s choreographer.

This could create bulimia, when we know that the organizers have identified seven themes with their code: lclassic zoukle zouk Love, le zouk Rn’b, zouk “sausage”, chiré and new wave.

The organizers and choreographers are in no hurry. They proceed in small steps. The master classes of May 7 and 8, 2022 are dedicated to classical zouk.

Two places will welcome the dancers, the Lamentin sports hall on Saturday May 7, 2022 and the Aimé Césaire cultural park on Sunday May 8.

The Master classes make it possible to explain the work accomplished and to transmit a strong image.

We do not necessarily realize all the details in a step, just like the work done in the music. There is an awareness to be made. This valuation is necessary

In view of the first rehearsals, the accent of the choreographers Catherine Laupa, Murielle Bedot, Jean Daniel Nadeau and Roger Jalta is placed on the excellence of the pedagogy.

We are in the swing, we know the hits, it is necessary to appropriate them and make them a strong and pleasant artistic image which is diffused throughout the world.

The codi-zouk was born and remains a necessity to popularize the steps. Everyone will give meaning to the gesture with their personality and this freedom, coordinated with the movements, makes it possible to magnify the music.

We wanted to give meaning to gesture, rhythm and step. Ease for better transmission. We enjoy dancing, this is how codi zouk was born

Satisfaction for the designers, the two singers, songwriters, cultural promoters Jean Marc Templet and Patrick André.

This challenge of restoring zouk’s vitality and making it travel is fundamental. We continue to promote heritage. By codifying our music, we preserve and enhance its authenticity. »

Membership is growing. Other professionals come to share like David Vincent, Vanessa Laigle, Vanessa Laupa, K’ryn Jeanne Rose, Daniel Kichenassamy, Laurane Marie Sainte.

The codification of Zouk is already bringing a second life to the zouk planet. Dancers and those who want to participate can contact the organizers (0659 394 675).
