The law regulating clinical medical research, which President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ratified and recently published in the Official Gazette, stipulates the punishment of those who violate the provisions of this law regarding the use of human samples used in medical research.

Article 30 of the law stipulates that anyone who contributes in any way to the emission of human samples used in clinical medical research during or after their completion shall be punished with imprisonment and a fine of not less than five hundred thousand pounds and not exceeding one million pounds, or one of these two penalties.
