Impressive moment in Australia: two huge whales swim under paddleboard fans off Esperance (video)

An impressive video of a whale and its baby swimming close to a paddleboard was captured by an aerial videographer last week. The images were taken in Australia, off Esperance, about 700km southeast of Perth.

Two paddleboard lovers had an impressive time in Australia last week. They found a huge whale and its baby swimming just below them off Esperance, about 700km southeast of Perth. The two women can be seen leaning over the side of their board to admire the cetaceans under their feet.

These stunning images were captured by aerial photographer and videographer Jaimen Hudson, who specializes in ocean photography.

Southern right whales and humpback whales are known to frequent Esperance during the colder months – from June to October – before heading south for spring. Southern right whales can grow up to 17 meters long, while humpback whales go up to 16 meters long.
