MEXICO CITY
On Thursday morning, the Popocatepetl volcano had a moderate ash explosion that generated a three-kilometer high fumarole, Cenapred reported.
The National Civil Protection Coordination reported that the explosion was recorded at 6:33 on this day and that the winds dispersed the smoke column to the northeast. Around 07:00, another fumarole was presented.
Through his Twitter account @CNPC_MX, he added that the volcanic alert traffic light is in Yellow Phase2, so he urged the population not to approach the volcano.
