VIVA – Many wish to terraforming or change Mars be more friendly like Earth. But, with its frigid temperatures, distance from the Sun, and scattered dust, turning Mars into an Earth-like one is far more challenging than it seems.
Mars used to be a warm place. Billions of years ago the red planet had a thick, carbon-rich atmosphere, lakes and seas of water and even fluffy white clouds. But now the Solar System is better for human life than it was then. Mars has changed too.
Earth’s neighbors are destined to be smaller than Earth, which means its temperatures are cooling faster.
