New secrets revealed James Webb Telescope Alien “JWST” after finding An ancient massive galaxy Very much, according to the opinions of scientists, its existence challenges current models and some have described it as “Impossible galaxy – ZF-UDS-7329. The galaxy contains more stars than the Milky Way, and scientists date the timing of its formation to only 800 million years after the Big Bang.
The reason for describing it as an impossible galaxy is that it was formed in almost impossible conditions, and scientists believe that it came together in some way without the influence of the gravity of dark matter, which is almost impossible, and the formation of the galaxy was determined based on dark matter, as Claudia Lagos, co-author of the study, explained, And an astronomer at the International Center for Radio Astronomy Research.
Discover the impossible galaxy
According to the study published in the journal Nature, Lagos indicated that galaxy formation is determined through a mechanism that depends on the concentration of dark matter, and stated, “The presence of these very massive galaxies very early in the universe poses major challenges to our standard model of cosmology.” Dark matter is invisible, but it is present in the entire universe in reality, at a rate of up to a quarter, and a portion of it can usually be observed, which represents 6%, and therefore its influence plays an important role in the formation and composition of large cosmic structures such as galaxies from the shadow.
There is a widespread belief among scientists that galaxies in their first form were born through formation that formed around concentrations of dark matter, or what is called dark matter halos.
Stages of galaxy formation
During the study, scientists explain the role of dark matter in the formation of galaxies, pointing out that the enormous gravity that dark matter enjoys plays a major role in pulling in the haloes and the gas and dust surrounding them resulting from the Big Bang and hindering their transformation into collapsing objects such as stars, and even allowing the formation of dwarf galaxies, and over hundreds of years. Millions of years, nearby dwarf galaxies cluster together and produce the large galaxies we know today.
Scientists have confirmed that the impossible galaxy existed 11.5 billion years ago, and using the James Webb Telescope, researchers were able to determine the date of its star formation another 1.5 billion years ago. Scientists explain that during this period, dark matter halos did not exist in a way that would allow them to form.
“This discovery breaks all boundaries and contributes to shaping awareness and understanding of the mechanism of galaxy formation and evolution over the ages,” is how co-author Thymia Nanayakkara, an astronomer at Swinburne University of Technology, described the new discovery by the James Webb Telescope.
