Importer: CMFoto not involved in Pierer/KTM restructuring – Nieuwsmotor.nl

There has been some confusion about the corporate structures of CMoto and Pierer Industrie AG, KTM’s parent company, among others. We (BW Import, CMoto importer for the Netherlands and Belgium, ed.) would like to provide the necessary clarification.

CFMoto is an independent brand and is not part of Pierer Industrie AG. Although both companies are active in the motorcycle industry, they operate completely independently of each other. CMFoto is a Chinese manufacturer known for its motorcycles, ATVs and other recreational vehicles, and also owns the urban mobility brand Zeeho.

In contrast, Pierer Industrie AG is an Austrian group that manages the KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas brands, among others, and focuses on a wide range of motorcycles and sports vehicles.

CMFoto is not involved in the restructuring or internal processes of Pierer Industrie AG.

In recent communication about the restructuring became an image shared, from which one could conclude that CMoto and Zeeho would be part of Pierer Industrie AG. However, this is wrong. CMFoto and Zeeho are not part of Pierer Industrie AG, but Pierer Industrie AG is active locally in distributing their products in several countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and the United Kingdom. This explains why CMoto and Zeeho are visible in the overview.
