Apple was also asked to fix existing smartphones by updating or recalling every iPhone 12 sold in the country.
“iOS 17.1 includes an update for iPhone 12 for users in France to accommodate this specific testing protocol that requires less power when outside of the body on a fixed surface,” Apple explained.
How to download the new update on iPhone
You can download iOS 17.1 on your iPhone:
– Open the Settings application, then click General.
– Click on Software Update, and the iOS 17.1 update should appear on your screen.
– Either tap “Update Now” to install it right away, or tap “Update Tonight” to install it this evening.
“If you select Update Tonight, your iPhone will attempt to update when the device is locked and the battery is sufficiently charged,” Apple added.
