The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that important news is coming. He said this in his address to the nation, quoted by “Ukrinform”.
“This week has greatly strengthened our country and our people. Tomorrow there will be important news for Ukraine – for our soldiers, for our entire country. We are working to ensure that the coming weeks will add strength to Ukraine – internal strength – and the necessary cooperation with the world. So that the world will hear us, understand us and support us,” said Zelensky.
He thanked everyone who helps Ukraine.
Seven European Union (EU) countries have ordered ammunition under a landmark European Union procurement scheme to deliver urgently needed artillery shells to Ukraine and replenish depleted stocks.
The orders are to supply urgently needed artillery shells and to replenish depleted Western stocks.
The countries are not being named at this time, as much of the information is confidential.
In response to inquiries from Reuters, Lithuania and Luxembourg confirmed they were among the seven.
Luxembourg’s defense ministry said it had allocated 2 million euros.
