Important home win over Fehervar AV19 – Moser Medical Graz99ers – Pure Icehockey Graz

The Moser Medical Graz99ers win the first of two home games against Fehervar AV19. Jens Gustafsson’s team celebrated an important 3:1 win.

The guests from Hungary showed a strong early phase and had two top chances in the first three minutes. 99ers goalkeeper Engstrand was able to keep his team in the game with top saves. Graz slowly got into the game and Andrew Gordon tested goalkeeper Tironen in the 7th minute. Two minutes before the end of the period, the 99ers were disallowed a goal. Boivin had hindered the goalkeeper from the point of view of the referees. In the power play, however, the home side then struck. Mike Zalewski (19th PP) completed a strong combination from close range – 1:0.

In the middle section Calle Ackered went it alone, the defender was only saved by the Hungarian goalkeeper. The guests hit the outside bar in the 24th minute and Graz increased to 2:0 in the 26th minute. Ben Blood sees Dominik Grafenthin in the blue one. The number 26 with the noteworthy pass to Mike Zalewski, who takes the disc perfectly and finishes it in the top left corner, which is worth seeing. The Hungarians were unlucky in the power play, Hari only hit the crossbar. There were still three minutes left in the second period and the 99ers made it 3-0. Michael Schiechl fights for the puck behind the Hungarian goal and brings them dangerously in front of the goal. Adis Alagic (37th) shifts the fastest and scores.

The Grazer in the final section with great chances to decide this game. Boivin failed in the 1v1 at Tirronen and Michael Schiechl was successfully disrupted just before the shot into the empty goal. The Hungarians took their goalie off the ice 10 minutes before the end of the game and were rewarded in the 52nd minute of the game with the 1:3 in the power play. The 99ers did not concede any more goals and so the important 3:1 success remained.
