The Ministry of Health and Population has directed that a number of instructions be followed to limit the transmission of hepatitis viruses in barbershops, hairdressers and health clubs.
The ministry indicated, in an awareness video broadcast on its official page on the social networking platform “Facebook,” that it is forbidden to use a single razor blade among customers, and single-use blades are used instead, or every citizen brings his own blade while going to the barber shop.
And she stressed not to use sharp tools such as (scissors, clippers, contact lenses, skin care tools, tweezers) for more than one woman in hairdressers and beauty centers.
It also directed the necessity of using the plastic apron for every citizen, and disposing of it after the end of use, and warned against using one apron for more than one citizen.
And the Ministry of Health continued: “The service provider wears rubber (latex) gloves for every citizen, and it is forbidden to wear guantes for more than one citizen, and to replace face wiping pads with single-use or paper tissues.”
And she stressed the need to get rid of sharp tools for shaving or cosmetics inside the safety box, in addition to using chlorine diluted one to four times as much as water to clean contaminated surfaces to prevent the transmission of infection.
The video clip indicated the commitment to place the awareness poster in each salon to illustrate the safe health practice for the citizen.
The ministry warned against not adhering to these instructions, noting that the license will be withdrawn and legal accountability in case of violation.
