TRIBUN-SULBAR.COM, MAMUJU – The government urges the public to complete the vaccination dose for Diphtheria, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), and Tetanus (DPT).

Head of the West Sulawesi Health Service, Dr. Asran, explained that the DPT vaccine is a combination vaccine to prevent DPT disease.

This disease very easily attacks babies and children.

Therefore, the public is asked to complete the vaccine, in this case carrying out routine immunizations for children aged 2 months to 1 year and five months.

“Four vaccines, this is where we ask the public to pay attention and carry out routine immunization,” said Asran, Tuesday (10/10/2023).

Especially for diphtheria, which is currently becoming more common, it is necessary to increase public education.

“Currently there have been no cases of diphtheria in West Sulawesi and we hope this will not happen so we hope the public completes the DPT vaccine,” added the Head of the West Sulawesi Province Health Office.
