Implementing Odd-Even Traffic System for 2024 Homecoming Flow: No Fines on the Spot, Says National Police

Jakarta

National Police Traffic Corps Inspector General Aan Suhanan explained that implementing odd-even is one of the options for limiting private vehicles during homecoming traffic this year. However, in practice, no fines will be issued on the spot.

“Then regarding the implementation of odd-even, this is one of the restrictions we are implementing for the mobilization of private vehicles,” said Aan after a coordination meeting at the Central Java Regional Police, Semarang, Sunday (31/3/2024).

Aan said odd-even monitoring will use E-TLE. For people who have been ticketed, a confirmation letter will be sent after the Eid holiday or April 16.

“What’s the law? We don’t stop us from turning back, but we monitor it with E-TLE, which means E-TLE will take action. Yes, the confirmation letter will be sent after the Eid holiday is over. After the 16th (April) the confirmation letter will be sent to the address according to the STNK yes,” he said.

“What is enforced is starting from Kilometer Zero in Jakarta, up to kilometer 414 in Kalikangkung,” he added.

He added that functional toll roads would also be implemented in Jogja and Solo. On April 3, a simulation will be carried out on the functional toll road.

“Tomorrow on the 3rd a simulation will be carried out there, so hopefully the implementation of the functional toll road can also run smoothly with certain indicators. We can use the Jogja Solo toll road,” he said.
